Thumbs up FOB trouble

I am having a bit of trouble with my FOB. The FOB does not always seem to work, the little LED will come on confirming that I pressed the button but I get no response from the car. This seems to mostly affect the unlocking but I do have some trouble with the locking. I ususlly have to press the button several times to get it to lock and many times to get it to unlock. I changed the battery when I started noticing the trouble as I thought that might be the problem. Has anyone experienced this and just had to replace the FOB? I only have one FOB and would hate to waste the money if the FOB is not the problem.

Can I use a FOB made for any S2000 model year?

say FOB one more time , 2x to lock both doors , 2x to oipen both doors , 1x to open the drivers door , 1x to open the trunk , if its not doing so then get a new one at the dealer .

LOLZ same here. I do have trouble with peeps from my own race though. It seems the slower the car and the more ghetto it is, the harder they try n race me. S2k envy?

i seriously thought you meant FOBs as in people also lol.

i have that problem too and i just press the button REALLY hard and it works fine. the range on the remote/FOB sucks though, and there's nothing you can do about that.

How far are you when you're trying to lock/unlock it with the remote?

I can be right at the door and it wont respond Some days seem to be better than others oddly.

BTW why is it called a FOB anyway?

If you're right at the door and it won't respond, the remote is probably bad.
