I have loved the s2000 for a long time now (for odvious reasons) and was interested in opinions for former ITR owners that now drive s2000s. Im single, no kids and dont really need a lot of spare room in a vehicle. The s2000s that i have drove fit me like a glove (i just hate those damn blind spots). So would any of you former ITR guys go back? Opinions please.

I had a 2001 Black Type R before I got my s2000. I have never looked back. The s2000 is faster, sportier, handles better, way more fun to drive, gets more looks , and I really dont see any aspect of the type R being a better car. Obviously it has more room, but if you dont need the room, then that doesn't matter. There have been multiple Type R vs. S2000 threads. There are a lot of former type R owners that a now s2000 owners and I think they would all agree that the s2000 is a better sports car, but dont get me wrong, I still love the Type R

I had a Supercharged GSR with an ITR tranny and other misc ITR parts.

For the most part I miss my GSR. It was one fast car! Waaay faster than my S. But that's just speed. My S2000 can do things in stock form my GSR could never do. One thing to be aware of, you'll miss that low-end torque you once had with your ITR. If you thought that thing had no power down low your gonna cry when you feel the S. Anything below 6000 rpm in the S feels like a 1989 Honda Civic towing 2 Jet ski's. That's just coming from a Former Supercharged Integra owner who had lot's of torque down low. Others (Who have always owned cars with no torque) may disagree and say it feels fine down low. Your best bet, DRIVE ONE than decide if YOU like it.

ITR are great car.It feel like lil soup integra GSR, rsx type s ,same feeling.

S2000 is real sport car(Roaster).Just drive one u know the different.

Back in the 89-90 all my friends was driving Integra etc.
I did not.I got 91 Miata never look back.Sure stock for stock
they were lil faster then but not by much. But when we going
for some twisty road.Forget about it..Off course they start
modding there car.I chose to do Auto X,after awhile i stop
doing that.Start modding my car as well.First sebring SC
not bad at all ,170hps. feel pretty quick i can take out Vinella
Ice 5.0. Make a long story short after my craxyness i end up with
FM2 270rwhp "my Blurrr" would take out any S any day of the week and on twisty too. After that got stolen,i jump my ass into
S2000(saw back in 95 car show).Even though my Miata would walk my S2000 in the straight and on twisty too.I still think the S2000 is better car..chassic on the S2000 is my 91 miata can't touch.

We previously had a couple of ITRs and then moved to S2000's. I have to agree with a number of the above posts.

The S2000 is more civilized to drive every day, but is also faster in every way. The ITR is MUCH easier to drive at the limit though.

One BIG plus in my opinion is that the S2000 doesn't seem to be as attractive to being stolen as the ITR because the engine doesn't fit into every other Civic, Integra, etc. Piece of mind goes a long way!

Although I love the Type R and would probably like to have one for the occasional drive, I much prefer a car that can be driven every day that you're not constantly worried about. Besides, it's a very cool car!!
