Having just purchased another ap1, with all the research that goes along with that, I think that Chucks rule of thumb is a remarkably good value estimator. Remember, its just a rule of thumb. There is a range of reasonable prices for any car. But it helps a lot when you are mulling over selling or buying a car like this where the various books we usually use are not even close to reliable.
