Freeway rpm

Took my car out last night on the freeway and i noticed at abt 75mph my rpms were at 4 something is that normal? what speeds and rpms are your guys going abt?

normal. 70mph = ~4,100rpm

Yep, normal. I'm at 4,000rpm @74-76mph. Cosworth has an AP1 so the gearing is slightly different than us with AP2s.

Hmmm... my 01 AP1 is right at 4k at 75mph

AP1 : 4000 rpm in 6th = 74.3 mph.

AP2 : 4000 rpm in 6th = 75.5 mph.

^^ if i rember correctly AP2s have slightly longer 5th and 6th gears, to help make up for the shorter redline

hum i know at 80 im at 4200 b/c thats where my vtec cross over.
