Default Friend of mine looking at buying this?

Hey guys just trying to help out a friend of mine, he is currently looking at purchasing a car through ebay. He is probably going to take a look at it and if what he "sees" is fine, then I think he is going to do it.

My questions is would you guys buy this car? I am a little worried about it because the car has been completely changed as you will see from the link. But if you guys could help me out with your thoughts and why. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Yea thats what I was thinking, it could be someone just dumping their problems on someone else.

Also I know that my friend doesn't know too much about the swap so if something goes wrong he may not know wat to do about it. lol you can't just take that car to honda and ask them to diagnose it for you.

I understand that many opinions will be negative, but keep em coming, positive or negative. Because I plan on showing him this post.

DO IT!

Just kidding. I'd honestly want a test drive before buying that car and when purchasing I'd go under the expectation that this car would not be the reliable f20/22 that people have come to expect. Not that the 2Jz is an unreliable engine, but the seller hasn't stated how much testing, r&d has been done and whether there are unresolved issues from the swap.

Also, your purchasing friend will incur extra costs to do any work on this car unless he/she has some connections or can do the work them self. Forget about taking it to the majority of Honda dealerships or toyota dealerships.

I'd offer him $1500 more than he's asking so he can pay for remedial English classes.

Yes it is, Accoring to my friend he used to have the stock ap1's on there but has sold them to put the wheels that are on there now.

And he does plan on looking at it, test driving it etc. He has talked to the guy numerous times and he claims that he does "seem" legit. But who knows.

But in no way shape or form will he purchase the car without looking at it personally and driving it personally. So no worries on that.

Keep em coming!
