This is just a friendly reminder that the State of Alabama has a campaign going on to basically issue as many traffic tickets as possible the week of 8/13-17. The news called it the Taking Back Our Streets program. I just got off the phone with a customer who is an Alabama State Trooper, about this program, and he explained that every uniformed officer including Captains, Supervisors, ABI, Driver

they do this every year. They vary the dates and I've seen how they do it. especially around exit 199, with 8 troppers waiting on off ramp with another cop on top of the bridge with a laser gun.
It's not an urban legend, it's from a credible source, but I rather not say who it is. Just for their sake. and it's not 30 day frenzy. it's a week program. they get the incoming traffic more than outgoing.
