Default Friggin mechanics.

I brought my car into the shop today to get my lowering springs installed. Once the guy pulls the car in, he gets out of the car and say I need a new clutch. I obviously got my back up and kind of snapped. I recently put in a Stage 2 ACT clutch. I don't even think it has 10,000 kms on it. He proceeds to tell me that the springs I'm putting on are garbage. (Tein S-tech.) He says they are way to soft etc, etc. Ok whatever. So now that my confidence in him is shot, he continues to work on taking off the struts but the F%^^ guy never puts a sheet on the fender. He was dragging the air line across my fender, even to get to the other side. I freaked. I just spent $5000 in body work I don't need this SH^&.

The guy keeps going on and on about my clutch and saying that ACT is not very good, they eat up flywheels, they wear very fast. So for now I am ignoring this Ahole. He knows where I work so he probably figures I have money and he might be able to get some work out of me.

Apparently though this guy is highly recommended in the Toronto area. (Gilman Auto)

That clutch better not be done.

Looks like he's just opinionated. Tell him to mind his own business and install the crap you want him to.

Why didn't you just tell him to back away from the car and take it somewhere else? If he's careless enough to scrape up your ride with you standing there, I'd hate to think what he's doing to it right now....

The springs are less than optimal based on most reports and user comments, but that was your choice. None-the-less, if the mechanic abuses your ride, you have the right to cancel the agreement and take your business elsewhere.
