I was wondering if anyone out there installed their own front chin spoiler. I know you can order it from places like A&H Motorsport (among others) for way cheaper than the dealer and they come painted body color. This beats paying the dealer price as well as paying them labor to install it. I do know that the installation of this piece does not require body work (i.e., drilling, cutting, painting, etc.) but would like to know how difficult or easy it is for a do-it-yourselfer.

??

I don't know how hard it is to install, but if you do order it, make sure to get it from a sponsor of the site...

BTW, I love how the front spoiler looks and I can't imagine that it is a difficult installation. I'm sure others will help on the specifics of that for you...

Redleader:

I just ordered a front chin spoiler, from "H and A", last Friday and am expecting it to arrive Tuesday. The installation instructions are available on their website (click the banner to take you there). I'm planning on installing it by the weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

My only concern is having enough room to install the two self-tapping screws inside each fenderwell. Turning the wheels from side to side should probably be enough.

I ordered both front & rear spoilers & I am going to tackle both of them my self. The instructions make it look very easy even for the inexperienced person. Good luck

Thanks to a nice piece of metal in the road, I was forced to take my broken front spoiler off last weekend. It only took 5 minutes to remove. There is plenty of room for installing the screws through the wheel well with the wheels turned. Installation should be a snap

I'm assuming that there is drilling involved for a rear spoiler so I'll let the dealer handle it. But I'd like to hear how "simple" the install is on the front spoiler & side strakes. Anyone find a bra to fit with an S2K with the chin spoiler? My S2K will arrive in June!!! Can't wait.

No drilling is needed for the chin spoiler, but you do have to put some effort into pushing the screws into the wheel well.
I installed it in 45 minutes without jacking the car up. A somewhat experience person can do it in 20 minutes.

The side strakes require drilling, and even with dealer installation I've heard of many cases where they've fallen off...not worth it, IMO.
