I just had my front emblem (Black) ripped off in front of a friend's house tonight -- his Honda emblem was also stolen a few nights ago. Luckily, the rear emblem was not touched. Whoever did it used a screwdriver to pry off the emblem and in the process gouged the surface near the emblem. They also discarded the grommet clip that holds the emblem.

I ordered the black emblem kit a few months ago from Honda-Accessories.com --- does anyone know where I can buy only the front emblem (OEM Black) rather than the whole kit? As for the grommet clip, I'll have to check with the dealer or I might be hosed and have to rely on the adhesive....

On a sidenote, this is the same place where on Halloween, my S2K was egged -- that left 2 nice swirl pattern chips on the door.

When you get your new emblem I suggest you also set up a hunting blind at your friends house and pop a couple of caps in the ass of the next person who messes with your stook.

It sounds like some kids next door have a death wish. Hehe, I would try a "sting" operation.

This morning, I took a closer look at the rear emblem, and they also tried to pry that off.... of course, they also scratched up the trunk in the process of trying.

I am gonna have to put out some bait and wait in the bushes and kick the mofo's @ss when I catch him. My friend's wife is filing a police report tonight -- at an appropriate time when all the neighbors will see the police -- hopefully this will discourage future thefts.

==========

I agree with you Kcopp -- it's gotta be one of the neighbor's kids.

==========

Zoinks, thanks for the link -- I saw this already and was amazed that they are selling a single badge for $69 -- where as honda-accessories.com is selling the entire kit for $69 --- there must be a difference between the Japanese emblem and the US black chrome emblems.

===========

Sideways, I sent a reply to your email.

Has anyone de-badged their car and filled the mounting holes?

try RM Racing at: http://www.rmnsx.com/s2000/honda_japan_fac...tory_badges.htm

I bought my red ones from them. VG. Not black chrome ones though. Only the colored ones. A bit pricey, but you can get the S2K discount.
