Front grill
I remember reading a thread on here a few months back about the front plastic grill falling out/coming loose on a lot of s2000's. Just wondering what everyone did to assure it stays in place? I was thinking double-sided tape around the sides, but I'm open to all suggestions.
Yeah, the black piece in the front bumper. It's only held on by a few "tabs" that can eventually snap off. I remember reading about other people having this issue, but at that time I was not having the issue.
I am confused and I might sound stupid, but MY03 has a solid piece of plastic as a front bumper with nothing held on besides the license plate and misc metal pieces to bolt on the mud guards and the bumper itself. The Grill is part of the bumper.

Go to number 33 on here. It's a bunch of 3.5 mm speed nuts. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
The speed nuts (#33 in diagram) aren't supposed to be there from the factory, are they? My front bumper is oem, and it does not have any speed nuts. Just a series of prongs that go inside of holes on the bumper itself. By the way, this is a 2006 s2000 that I am talking about. I am not sure if the ap1 grille mounts the same way.

I assume you can see the slots where it lines up with the bumper. If you don't mind drilling 2 holes through the grill, just line it in, then put the "u" type speed nuts onto the existing bumper slots, then screw through the plastic grill piece into the "U" type speed nut.
Good luck!
