Hi fans,

is anyone having good or bad experiences with "extreme dimensions" body kits that look like C-West but cost just around 30% of the original ? Will that fir or I should go just for the real thing.

Thanx for any reply!

Folks - I see a couple of differing opinions on how much front ground clearance you loose with the OEM front lip.

I had a front lip as part of the deal on my car - but changed my mind on the lip after taking the car home (without the lip) and pulling into the driveway. I've got about 1" if I back straight in - slight more if I go at an angle. I've got slightly better than that (not sure exactly how much) if I go in frontways.

You folks with OEM front spoilers - how much ground clearance do you think you lost ?? Is this from a measurement, or an "eyeball".

If it is indeed in the 0.5" to 1.0" range, then I may go back and look at having it installed.

I'd sure appreciate any information you can provide on this.

I think at most you lose 1" with the OEM lip(using my eyeball measurement)...it screws into the bottom of the front bumper using three of the front screws that were already there. Check out H and A's installation...

It took me about a 1/2 hour to do(it's a tight fit), but very easy.

Good luck.

I took mine off yesterday and re-installed it, didn't seem to make much difference it goes over it so much.

Tony - I'll have to go measure it while the car is sitting on a flat piece of road. The measurements I quote above are going into and out of my (very sloped) driveway. Be right back.

Six and a half inches at the front - measured to the bottom of the front bumper.

Eight and a half at the back - measured to the bottom of the exhaust.

thanks bro, much appreciated ^_^. Im also thinking of just getting the 04 bumper so i dont have to deal with ground clearance with my 00 bumper with oem lip. Didnt think 04 had that more clearance than 00-03's
