Default Front Plate Removal?

I need to remove the front plate and install the bumper plugs.

I heard all the horror stories about losing the plate-mount nuts in the bumper.

What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen?

Take the bumper off lol. If the bracket falls behind you will have to take it off anyway otherwise the plug will not stick. It is not that bad and fairly quick as well.

Keep one screw in the bumper/bracket, while removing the first screw. Then take out the second screw and replace w/the plug. This will keep the bracket 'tight'. Worked for me..

If you would put more info in your profile, we would know what year car you have, and it might be easier for people to help ya out.

This is incomplete in my book

When I joined I did not yet own a S2000.

I have updated my profile to reflect that I now own a 2007.

I posted because I *REALLY* don't want to have to pull the bumper off my brand-new (to me) S2000 over something stupid like a license plate bracket.

Why are you removing it? If you live in Texas it is required.

on my ap1, the plate fell into the bumper also when I was putting the bumper plugs in. I had to take the bumper off to put it back on and added some krazy glue in case. Hopefully it'll stay in the future if I ever have to put plugs in again.

Here's the link that helped me take the bumper off:

I retrieved mine with a magnet and used one bolt then another to pull it firmly back in place. If you have two bolts in one side and pull firmly it should be nice and seated so that the plug wont push it in.
