I have yet to see 200 miles on a tank/fill up - each time i've filled up I put in around 10 gallons at between 180 & 190 miles on the trip odo - sometimes less miles 170-180 - so that means i've been getting 17-19 mpg.

Most/all of my driving is around town - 6-12 mile trips each outing - when I get to run the S for 20-30 miles I run her hard - I will be hard pressed to see 230-250 miles from a tank unless I get on the highway and do 62mph????

For all those reporting fuel economy.. are you filling up to the top, then dividing the miles driven by the gallons needed to drive that distance? I have about 1300 miles on mine and been getting steady 21mpg, about 50/50 city and hwy. On the hwy I drive fast though, usually about 80 mph or higher, traffic permitting.

I have about 4700 miles on mine right now and get 24-25 mpg. I do 100 highway miles on Monday and Friday, and 10-15 city miles on Tue, Wed, and Thurs. I once got 318 miles out of a tank (29.5 mpg) on a trip to Williamsburg, Va. I have a feeling that'll be as good as it gets, which isn't bad.

I've gotten under 200 miles out of a tank once or twice, but that was with a ton of

280 is what honda claims...which is 28mpg....I never fill more than 9.9-10.2 gallons.

With a high quality synthetic motor oil...youll go over 30mpg.

i got 280 on my last tank, filled it up with 2 bars left. took approximately 10 gallons to fill it up. this was mostly highway driving, but i did vtec it just about everytime i took the car out. needless to say i'm very pleased with the mileage i've been getting especially compared to my girls IS300. that thing is a gas guzzler!

I've been getting combined driving on my '03 daily driver of 26 MPH. That's 343.2 miles to the tank. 60-65% of my driving is on highways.

I have 5K and around town I get 23-25 mpg. If the whole tank is on the highway I got 28.6 which I think is pretty good.

Would you say that making sure you get the high octane petrol (e.g. Shell Optimax) everytime would improve your MPG sufficiently enough to give you a return on paying the extra money in the first place. Do you think you would end up breaking even?

(Not looking for an argument on best fuel for car, just ecomomy).
