How many miles have you guys driven your S2k when the fuel gauge was showing empty (no orange bars)? Just want to know how far I actually got before I'm pushing it.

 

I've never taken it that far, and just to be on the safe side, I would avoid it if at all possible.

 

I've driven maybe 5 miles or less with no bars showing, no problem.

 

When I fill up with no bars showing, I usually can put in 10 - 11 gallons which means I had only 2-3.5 gallons left. That's close enough for me unless this car has a very good fuel trap in the tank. Hang a long corner or park on a hill with the tank nearly dry and you could suck some air!

 

Just don't do it! you'll knacker your cat!

Last Saturday I did about 15 miles after the last orange bar dsappeared.

you should be able to get about 50 miles after you bars go out. i usually manage 11 gallons on a fill up with all the bars out. therefore 2 gallons in the tank at 25 mpg = 50 miles (assuming you don't vtec)

 

Wont driving with too low fuel in the tank eventually wear out the fuel pump? I think it happened to a Mazda I have.
