Wassup everyone! Lately I've been getting some really bad mileage on my S. Today on a full tank, one bar dissappeared after only 8 miles on the freeway! My last tank only gave me 190 miles out of 11 gallons. What is going on? I know there isn't no leak because my garage doesn't smell like gas and the check engine light has never came on. What should I do? Do you think resetting the ECU would help? Thanks again. Latez!

It wouldn't hurt to have your Hondar dealer check it out...Unless you are constantly VTECing in every gear, you should get better than 17 MPG...

No really, my fuel gauge has been accurate since my last month. My car is somehow eating sh!tloads of gas these days. I don't even use crappy gas (Chevron, Supreme w/ Techron baby!). Any ideas?

I short-shift as much as possible. I only redline like 4 times a day and I rarely do stay in V-TEC.

mileage will probably depend on whether you're doing city or highway driving. as for the fuel guage bar missing, it can happen at any time. usually happens to me after i turn off the car (even after 1 mile of driving). but i usually get 240 miles after topping her off doing city/hwy driving.

One bar disappearing after only 8 miles is nothing new to me. The first 2 bars in the fuel gauge after filling up disappears rather quickly on my car. The middle bars seem to last a lot longer . But 190 miles on 11 gallons does sound like low mpg. I can easily get over 200 miles on a full tank, probably more than 250 miles, depending on driving conditions. Check the pressure on your tires, underinflated tires will cause bad mpg.
