Default Full sized windscreen issues

I just put the full windscreen on my car with macgyvers upgraded digital led things! The led part rocks! however when i am traveling at speeds fo greater then say 25 miles an hour the screen has alot of movement, i am assuming to more air force and leverage then befor. I was wondering if anyone has had this issue and found a fix for it? if so what did you do? I am going to be making some hard foam pieces with felt on them that will match the car to apply backward presuure to the screen and hopefully look sorta stock. Any input would be great!

There have been a number of discussions regarding bumper stops for the windscreens. It sounds like your solution is similar to what other people have done.

Weatherstripping, small black rubber disks etc.

Don,

I have a bunch of the strips in stock, but I always seem to forget to include them when I upgrade a screen with a non stock-height piece. I'll throw one in tomorrow's mail for you.

I had to experiment quite a bit with location of bumpers AND a suitable glue to hold them at freeway speeds. What you see is the end result. Basically, the higher up you place the bumpers on the rollhoops, the less noise you get.

For a glue, I actually found Silicone Sealant to work best. It has flexible properties which help the bumpers absorb the impact of constant wind buffeting. Silicone glue also will not damage the rollhoop when the bumper is re-positioned.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I've actually helped a few people with this one.

Good Luck,
Hockey
