Default Funny smell when AC is on?

Ok I just got my car, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why there is a funny odor coming out when I turn on the AC???
I dont even know how to explain the odor but it goes away when i turn off the AC, does anyone know what this might be???

Its probably mildew - follow the link. In the future, try to limit the use of the recirc when running the AC. moisture builds into your vents and mildew grows. Lysol or a dedicated AC cleaner in the fresh air vent (Usually located to the left of the driver's side windshield wiper) while running the AC ought to take care of it.

Try replacing the cabin filter too. Supposed to be done every 15k.

You'd be surprised how nasty they get.
