I had to do something similar today in my Jeep. Didn't bring the softtop, and it started pouring. Drove home in the rain with no top on too...

I guess I beat you all, my S has never seen rain ................................ Wipers are original, never been changed, will probably dry rot at this rate.

cranked it up to 130+ to reach the next toll plaza at the first sign of hail.. as I pulled up to the booth golf sized hail started falling... traffic stopped and I stood there for a full 3 mins. Saw lots of cars messed up. I was spared. Flame suit on for the speeding, but the thought of dealing with insurance and stuff made my foot very heavy.

It hailed in VA about a week ago... I just went to the bank and parked the S under the drive-thru area.

I try not to drive my S when it rains......people think i am crazy. If what the previous owner told me is correct, my MY00 has seen rain twice in it's life. Both times by me....

My wipers are original too, and I even still have the original washer fluid in the tank. I have no idea if the washer works, it's never been used.

Since buying my S 8 years ago I've become a fan of the Weather Channel. I watch it each night, and if there's even a chance of rain, it stays in the garage the next day.

That's funny... when it rainstorms, I go out and hit the backroads with the wipers at full power, lol...
