Default future of S2000

What's in the future for the S2000? I have transitioned to "seriously considering" buying a new S2000 in the summer of next year, 2003. I have heard that 2004 may be the last year Honda is making them from this site:

http://www.collegehillshonda.com/funstuff/...f/honda2003.htm

Since I am getting a new one next summer, I don't know whether to go ahead and get the 2003 model, or wait until the 2004 models roll in, but if there are enough improvements, I will wait for it. Does anyone know anything about this, future changes to the car, if any? Or suggestions on what to do?

From what I hear in the grapevine... 2004 will be the last year of the CURRENT S2000.... in 2005, a year after the V8 i-VTEC NSX comes out, there is supposedly an i-VTEC S2000 Evo II (stealing a Mitsubishi term there) coming out... but I don't know for sure

IMHO, I think the S2000 is going to disappear after 03' just like the prelude, well not exactly disappear. I think Honda wants to make it rare. And I don't think the S2000 is the kind of car that goes for like 3 or 4 generations. It's more of a one generation and stop production for like a couple years. My 2 cents.

that's good planning - but 18 months from now the car market may be different, models prices - you don't need to order now so don't need to worry about it I think.

Wasn't the S2000 produced to celebrate an anniversary for Honda?

How long did the other S-cars last?
