I can understand owners defending their own car, just as we do on this board. For most good points for the car, there is a totally different good point for the other (eg price v looks v storage space etc).

As long as they are comparing specs about two vehicles I don't have a problem with it. Trying to back up your argument by bringing some 50 yo car and a motorcycle into the debate just does make sense to me.

 

I do not know why, but some of those comments frustrated me. I've driven some SLK's, and dunno what the big deal is. Sure, give me an AMG Benz anyday, but otherwise . Oh well, I guess its just like people on this site putting down 350Z's and the like.

I don't get why BMW owners always get the rap of being pricks. I've been looking for an E30 for a few months now and have never came across anyone nearly as ignorant as half the people on the MB forum.

 

Some guy mentions that the s2000 can't keep up with a slk320 in the straights. Tell that to the 5+ slk320's that I've raped.

 

Let them think what they want. They are more then welcome to come to the track and we can settle this once and for all.
