Gas begining to hurt any other S owners?
Good points LATEOTT.
One thing that would help a lot as far as California is concerned is to reduce the amount of locally mandated special gas mixtures to just a few different mixtures. Right now many states demand their own special blend for pollution control - leaving any production blip to jack up the price in their local market.
Instead, there should be just a couple of blends available - a warm weather and cold weather blend. It doesn't matter which of the available blends to pick. Pick the most stringent of each if it makes the treehuggers happy, I don't care. Make them a nationwide standard. There will still be regional supplies of one type or another - say the cold weather blend will be available in the northern states longer and the warm weather blend will be available longer in the southern states.
Suddenly any gas is available and sellable everywhere. If a refinery goes out in Texas, capacity and supply (of what there is) can be readily shipped in or out from anywhere.
This is interstate commerce and right up Congress' alley and in their jurisdiction. Screw the states on this one - it's gone too far.

Well, you know what they say. If you have to ask how much a aftermarket parts cost, then it's probably too much for you.
If you have to worry about gas price, then it's probably not the right car for you. Ok, maybe that's a bad example.
I pay 2.60 /gal in Miami. Hehe....
