First of all...don't panic.

Second of all...your car should be driveable, but take it easy. Only light acceleration and absolutely NO VTEC!

Save the receipt (obviously). Contact the gas station and let them know what happened.

Contact your dealer's service center and tell them as well, and ask them what they advise. This is VERY important if the car is still under warranty. It may be as simple as driving super easy until its time to fill up agaain or they may advise you to drain the tank and flush the fuel system.

The gas station will most likely deny any wrong-doing, but it is going to be up to you to decide whether or not to fight them and get them to pay for any labor involved.

Lastly...USE SELF-SERVE!!!

Good Luck.

I didn't even think of that. You could add a bottle or two of Octane booster, drive gingerly until your next fill up, and probably be fine.

You should go to self serve gas stations, that's what

dont call your dealership. you're just GIVING them a reason to void any future warranty work.

aside from that, the worst that will happen is you'll get some detonation, which the ECU will pick up and retard the timing.

but as stated, i wouldn't use VTEC until you've used up that tank of gas.

The car is probably shot. Time to part it out and sell it...
Dibs on the sexy Volks.

Just kidding.
I would add some "Nos" octane booster and go easy... And don't wait until it's empty to fill up. Fill up at 3/4 or so, so you can bring the average octane up slowly and quickly...
