When I had my s2k on the dyno (Bonestock at that time), 4th gear redline was around 120 mph (In case some of you didn't know, this is the gear used for dynoing the s2k). If RM Racing still has the mpeg on their website, you can check out the video of the speedometer hitting around 120 mph at redline. Top speed (Based on the speedometer and again on the dyno) in 6th gear is around 171-172 mph (I know the speedometer is inaccurate at this speed).

Remember that redline and rev limiter are two different things, rev limit may be as high as 9500rpm allowing 171-172
9000 should be the 166.??(INDICATED) that Cdelena posted

Yes, I know the difference...I was looking at the speedometer area and right when it hit 9000 (Or 8900, if you want to be exact), it said 171-172 on the speedometer. Whether this is correct or not is another story.

They are exaclty as Cdelena posted ... down to the decimal places. If you want the speed in km then here they are (and these are from an independent source, not just Cdelena's numbers converted):
> > (speed at 9k revs):
> > 1st - 69km/h
> > 2nd - 105km/h
> > 3rd - 144km/h
> > 4th - 186km/h
> > 5th - 223km/h
> > 6th - 266km/h
Yes, they are low, but that's why you have 6 instead of 5 gears and that's why the S2000 is so quick despite it's 'small' engine - all gears are good 30% shorter than your average sports car ... S2000 makes up the 30% gearing deficit by having 30% higher redline and being able to wind out each gear about 30% further that any other car could.
Anyway, the speeds posted are correct ... no matter what your speedo sais.

This is what my speedometer (my speedometer does not have decimal point) indicates at each gear when the rev limiter kicks in (fuel cut-off):
1st 46mph
2nd 67mph
3rd 92mph
4th 119mph
5th 143mph
6th never have the space to redline this gear. The highest speed was 158mph.
