Default Gear shifting problems

Hi you s2000 experts out there.. just got a question for y'all. Just wondering if it is normal for the gear 1 to be sometimes locked out when ur at a complete stop or your rolling to a stop. I find that i sometimes have to quickly shift to gear 2 first before it will alloq me to go into gear 1. Its quite annoying really and was wondering if you guys out there are having the same problem.

Cheers.

Sounds like it's time to change your tranny fluid.

It's like changing the oil, Instead of letting the oil pan drain, You let the tranny fluid drain, Then there is usually a side fill.. If you don't know what the tranny looks like, bring it in to a mechanic...

I find that blipping the throttle helps alot when trying the 2 to 1 downshift while moving. I don't know if you regularly rev match on downshifts though.

Nope, not normal imo, I haven't got that issue at all, I can put in 1st everytime, or standing still or coming from 2nd gear all day long.

I can kind of feel it clunk into first from a roll in my brand new 07. Im almost positive it is just a Honda thing. Your not really supposed to downshift to 1st though. just go into second and the press the clutch and brake normal. once your stopped then go to first.
