The AP2 engine + gearing definitely makes city and canyon cruising nicer.

damn I just ordered a 4.77 gear I hope it's driveable for my DD.
been running 4.77 since the day after I bought the car. No problems with driving it anywhere (city driving or interstate). Rev's are a bit higher at 70mph but it's quick getting there.

Not sure I understand your question...I have about 33,000 miles on my car of which about 32,000 are with the 4.77...daily I drive about 40 miles roundtrip to work.

I don't have any problem running at 30 mph in 6th gear either...I have tons of torque and have no problem accelerating on hills or flat road. I do have a Mugen header which helps with the mid-range power. There's no sign of lugging, just lots of pull...(I haven't driven a stock S2000, so I have no idea what they're like in similar circumstances).

That is a little slow for that gear. I don't get into 6th until I reach at least 55 MPH under normal driving.

As for the gears, I changed to 4.77's, but mine is only a toy and used for fun. I do not have to drive mine everyday. If I did, I would have kept the OEM gears.
why would you have kept the oem gears for everyday driving?
