Geists2k Official Mod List Thread
Any issues with the InlinePRO kit? I have been thinking about whether to get this kit or stick to the comptech S/C. Basically this is my daily so I need a good bit of reliability. I just can't quite get myself to settle on a sc if there's a chance of making a reliable turbo setup.
hi there, geists2k -
Just had to take a second and express thanks for sharing your ride...
seriously amazing!
My dear EP3 is my 2nd car (first was an 86 Civic Si) and you're pretty much driving what I daydream about. I live not far away in Oaklandon, so hopefully I'll happen across your S2000 one day out & about and will get a chance to better experience it!!
Felt like writing to let you know how much I think of what you've done...
and also, would you happen to mind sharing any info about the Pro you've had wrenching on that killer machine?
my email is thankins@gmail.com if that's a better way to correspond (considering that I drive a Civic Si, I tend to lurk here and daydream a bit more than anything)
Thanks kindly,
Tom

This pic from your sig has long made this one of my favorite S2000's on the board. I had no idea it made high power numbers.
That pic was taken early last summer before the turbo kit went on.
I have the full J's Racing body kit and J's Type S hood along with the OEM hard top going on this winter so new pics will be in order when the spring rolls around.

Mine is a garage queen most of the time, so I can't really give you any advice if your S is you primary mode of transport.
That said I have a great deal of confidence in the InlinePRO kit. John Lee the owner of InlinePRO is a stand up guy and will always talk to me when I have questions. That counts for a lot when you decide to go this route.
I have some hard, and I mean hard miles on this kit and the only issues I have run into are with under hood heat management.
I think that you might have slightly better daily driver reliability with a Comptech or Vortech setup, but the power you get with the turbo is insane.
I haven't driven my car for like two months and we have had some unseasonably warm temps here so I took it out for a drive tonight and I almost forgot how frigging fast this car is. I LOVE IT.
The bottom line is this -- if you do it right, you can have a reliable turbo setup. But you have to be prepared to spend a pile of cash.
Hope this helps.
