General question about MY's

Just a general question I've always wondered. It's actually held me back from purchasing a couple of things. If a store/website claims an item (intake/headers/exhaust/brakes, you name it) states it's for years '04-06', will it fit a 2007? As long is something is manufactured for an AP2, it should fit all years of AP2's, correct?

I heard some years the car wasn't changed. To be more specific, anything for a 2006 should fit a 2007 right?

its usually broken down into 00-05 and 06+ now. if its something simple as brake pads. it will fit all years. intake is obviously different because of dbw system.
