General recall notes
As an owner can we get hold of all the recall and fix notes on our 2000's to ensure that they are all undertaken when the car visits the garage on a service call? Not sure if the garage are obliged to fix or ignore because of cost?
If you register your car and VIN# on the Honda website, you can view all the recall notices there.
I really think the service center does not really care about recalls or other warranty work. They get paid either by you or Honda USA, so it doesn't really matter to them. I also suppose Honda has reimbursement agreements with the dealers so they (Honda) will pay a lower labor rate for a repair than you would.

If any car is subject to a recall it is registered with the federal government. Honda does have an obligation to repair the car and Honda does monitor the % of cars completed.
If it is an "Update" then it is not registered, and is not a safety item. It is considered by Honda to be something that should be done to the car.
Dealers have a method of checking with Honda to identify any cars that need update or recall work.
Ask your dealer to check.
