Default Getting in and out of the S

Hey guys, been lurking around for a while here learning about the car but haven't felt the need to start a thread until now.

My question is this does anyone who is on the tall side like myself have any problems getting in and out of their cars? I'm not very tall , 6'1" to be exact but I recently had back surgery and have noticed and link between days that I drive the car and a recurring pain in my lower back right hip area. I've been contemplating a removable steering wheel to hopefully aid my entry and exit from the car but don't know if that would be worth it. A friend of mine suggested that I remove the wheel and try several times to get in and out before buying.(which I plan on doing)

I was just curious if anyone else has any similar experiances.

Thanks in advance.

do you sit straight in your car. I'm not as tall as you, but I notice after a week driving the S with sitting all the way back, my back started to hurt Until I set the seat up alittle so that my back would be straight and no more pain.

First day I had the car my back started to hurt. I never had back pains before. 30 minutes after leaving the dealership I started getting an ache. It turns out that I was slouching. I schooched my butt back against the seatback and the problem went away. The car seem to encourage slouching in tall drivers due to the low roofline and stop lights out of view.

Stupid question, you don't keep a wallet in your back pocket, right?

Learned not to do that a long time ago.

iKMTi: Yes I sit properly hips all the way back in the seat.

I think the problem is teh twisting of my right leg as I pull it into th epassenger cabin. I'm gonna try teh quick release steering hub. I just don't know what I'm goning to do about the cruise control switches.

Relocate them to the dash.

I've heard that from someone before, but they never explained why.

It can mis-align your spinal cord. Just like school students are suppose to wear both the straps on their book bag not one. It will defiantly make your spinal cord "wacked out," for the lack of better words.
