Default Getting the S2k itch again...UPDATE!

I've been in automotive limbo ever since trading my 2004 S2000 on a 2003 996. I ended up selling the P-car after some nasty mechanical demons. I got a 2007 MX-5 Miata that was nice and got me back to sport car roots. Alas, that was short-lived as my wife and I ushered in triplets earlier this year. The MX-5 was sold for...a Sienna. Woe is me.

Obviously, getting rid of my beloved Rio Yellow was a bad move. It just didn't sit well with the auto gods. I got myself a 1991 Miata to tinker with, but its obviously no S2k. Just when things appear bleak, I mention to the wife that the S2000's run may be coming to end soon...no really, this time it's true. Unexpectedly, she says, "well maybe you can pick up an '08 next year..." What?! Did I hear her correctly?! Of course, I contained my enthusiasm and uttered a tacit, "we'll see...," all the while my heart thumping at the thought of a new S.

I'll wait it out until spring and see how the finances are. The Sienna is being financed and my Forester only has a year left and getting rid of either would be ill-advised. The Miata may just have to be sacrificed to the Car Gods to get me back into an S...

UPDATE AT THE END!

Marriage is a not all bad. However, one has to redefine priorities and realize that decisions are now mutually agreed upon...

congrats on the triplets. If I was gonna have kids, I want at least twins. Get it over and done with once and for all, eh?

Anyway, hopefully you can squeeze back into the S, even picking one used is okay as long as you're in there enjoying it. Whatever.
