[QUOTE=xviper,Sep 26 2005, 06:22 PM] The "strips" were the original anti-rattle devices.

Actually, the reverse. The bumpers came first, the strips after, since they work much better.
This old age thing is the shits.

Well, anyway, you were kind enough to send those to me as extras.

I bought the wind screen recently and had similar install issues and just when to Home Depot and purchased a pack of clear square bumpers, I think the are 3/4 of an inch. I used an alchol wipe and stuck them on and they work great. tested at over 130mph and in over 100 degree probably hotter in the car. My bumpers are square not round so it sits more flush.

My .02, hope that helps, good luck.

Reviving an old thread.

Anyone have pics of the bumpers installed? Does Rick's aero screen come with the bumpers (just bought it)?

Also, I'm going to use Gorilla Glue to put the base back together with the new aero screen.

Also, can anyone post up pics of Rick's tall aero screen installed with bumpers or any other mechanism you might have used to stop the screen from oscillating?

Thanks.

wow crazy i come into S2000 talk maybe twice a year and ran into this thread from me... nice searching.

my ricks screen broke years ago when somone folded it down and i put the roof down, i have another but never installed it. i got used to having none at all i guess but it really did cut down on the wind noise.

i think eventually i used the gorilla glue and i think if you install the bumpers angled slightly back from vertical they will rest against the bumpers and not move, straight up and down causes it move back and forth a bit but it's been a long time since i had them installed.
