While visiting my dealer today getting my wife's Accord serviced, I saw six new S2000s in his lot! My salespeson wasn't there, or I would have questioned him.

You can take a look on their web page, http://www.kayhonda.com which lists them. There are two yellows, one black and three silvers on the lot. Note also that one is erroneously shown on the web page as having an automatic transmission.

I also wonder whether the "internet special price" is higher than the MSRP?

I think its just a result of the weather in our area but my dealer has FIVE including a Yellow, 2 reds and 2 silver. The other dealer in the area has at least 2 a yellow and a silver. Now might be a good time to deal.

I think it is that time of year. Two weeks ago in the Dallas Morning News there were 10 used S2Ks for sale. Low miles and all over 32K

Umm, when these cars are built, aren't the VIN numbers assigned in numeric order? On the Kay Honda new s2k inventory, I noticed the VINs are all over the place from 900 to 4000+.... I guess they aren't made in numeric order, or did this dealer get cars and not sell them for months and months and months?

I believe the pent up demand for this car has been satisfied; all of us Honda freaks have one now! The dealers are going to have to work a little harder to move them. My dealer had a yellow one for four weeks that he just sold, and now has two (a silverstone and a red) parked in the showroom.

I agree with Allan. Everyone who really wanted this car 'at all costs' now already has theirs. Let's face it, this is not a suitable car for most people and the demand among the general public for S2000's is actually relatively low.

They should stop making them then!! Then again, I wouldn't mind having 2 or 3 S2Ks.

I agree with the big demand being gone. Now the dealers have to realize it and actually sell them at less than MSRP.. of course that doesn't help us sell ours... but... none of us are ever going to sell ours...right?

Scot

Here in Central PA... each dealer has at least one, and a triple black (as they called it) in the paper..new for $31,700.

answer ( and this no joke, and theres no sarcasem to this answer)for as long as the american market keeps buy them
it seems reasonable, since for our market until the end of the year they only ship another 60 cars

Per most information I've seen, dealers got only around 7 or 8 for all of last year.

During the summer they found out they sold like hotcakes and ended up having customers wait for orders and had none in stock.

I believe this year they "wised up" and ordered their allotments through the winter months(for northern dealers anyway), even though they had no buyers.

Come spring my dealer anticipates the lot will empty of all his S2000's. He had 7 when I signed three weeks ago and sold 3 by the time he had mine ready for pickup.

Glut, I think not, just wiser dealers.
