Well last night I hurt my baby. Pulling into a parking spot I miss judged the distance. I ended up pulling up onto the concrete stoppers and one of the steel rods was sticking up to far so it nicked the bottom lip and ended up cracking the lip in 2 spots.

Luckily one sat back nice and easy. The nick at the bottom on the lip I will cut off and prob wont be seen. Though the other crack just dosent want to sit back flat. So looks like I will probably have to pull the front bumper off and get it to sit right and then epoxy the back side to make sure it sits right.

Guess I gotta find out how to pull the bumper off! Anybody in CT know now?!

I did the same thing too....normally since our car is small i leave a good foot distance to the curbs in front but this time i have no clue what i was thinking. I kept pulling up until i scrapped up the whole bottom front of the car...good thing that area will be covered up by the OEM front spoiler i'm putting on...i'll get the body shop place to touch it up and smooth it out for me too i guess. Suck to be us.

I did the same thing to my S the first day I had it, but only scraped it up. I thought about putting one of those "curb feelers" on the front (they usually go on the right side of the car) but I know that would look pretty silly. I guess I could call it a "HIGH TECH" road sensor?????
Any way, I have learned to "park" way back in all parking spots........Good luck on repairing the damage....

Thanks dave. Maybe we can get together and do that someday. I know I have the epoxy on hand. Just gotta get it flat. If you could forward me instructions on how to take that bumper off that would be cool. I dont know when I would do it but hay.

I have thought about putting on that factory spoiler but I think it would just perpetuate the problems! Who knows. It does make the car look lowered.

Any good pics of a silver S with facotry front spoiler?

Used to do it all the time. My OEM front spoiler is pretty scraped up underneath. I've resigned to just removing the spoiled when sell time comes. Whallah! clean front end.

Oh my lucky stars!...I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was pulling into a spot last night all in a rush to watch the Maryland Georgetown game when didn't pay careful attention and I let the front lip scrape up against the curb. Got the front scratched up a bit, but not as bad as cracking I think. Still urked me quite though, I'm parking backwards for the rest of my life dammit.

After doing it once (not even that badly but I was still pissed) I only back into hard-to-judge spots now. Cant wait to lower my car.
