Think I'm going to Japan for business this Nov. Do they have typical dealership part departments, where I could pick up a set of headlights? Any idea on cost?

There are probably auto wreckers there where you can buy parts cheaper...

In Japan they drive on the the left side. So, the headlights from their S2 is high on the right and dips on the left. This prevents blinding on oncoming traffic. If you noticed the U.S. S2 is higher on the right and dips on the left to prevent oncoming traffic from the left. Hope this helps.

Don't worry about previous post... I had a JDM conversion on my Type R and as long as the headlights are aimed properly you won't be "blinding" anyone. People like to make a big deal out of this as if they will get some safety award from the DMV

You should be able to just go to the dealership and purchase, although you may want to check into what you might have to do about bringing them back in to the country. This could be a nuisance for you.

P.S. Try to snag some S2000 brochures from the lobby. I'll give you $10 for one

Good Luck and take lots of pics (cars).

- you can get parts from the dealer, but gonna cost you...
- when I had my is300, I had my mom call up a dealership and ask for pricing...
- luckily my dad was up there on a business trip and picked a few things up for my is300... cost was better than eBay JDM sellers and all them other ones...
- I heard they have junkyards also, try one of them places...
- japan has so much shit that we have never heard of, I don't know what I would do if I went there again

heh ironically, that's where I am, now. Where are you staying?

It's definitely worth it to go to Shinonome, and go to Super Autobacs. Lots of fun stuff, not great prices, but it's just fun to browse. I'm glad we don't have one near me, my car would have so many more parts on it if we did... and I'd be broke.

You can aim the lights up and down with a screwdriver. Is there a difference between the JDM headlights and the US?
