Going to look at an S tomorrow
Gotta say, I'm pretty excited!
It's local, it's a two-owner, and its an '06. Not too sure how I feel about the color, but that is low on my list of priorities. It has had one minor accident where the quarter panel was repainted, so I'll be looking for color differences and how things line up with the door as well as any ripples in the trunk or the frame underneath. This is the first one I'm going to go look at, and hopefully drive.
I'm bringing "The List" from the "how to buy a used s2000" thread, so I'm going in prepared!
Wish me luck!

Do what it takes and buy it ....don't waste time , u have driving to do !!

I know we had the color argument a couple weeks ago...but I was in the OP's boat. Color was low down on my list. I just wanted a good, low mileage, stock condition S2000.
Seems like I switch what I think the best color is every few months too. If you asked me right now I'd say "yellow". Anyhow, an added bonus of the color thing. I ended up with sebring which was low on my list...but as I've gotten used to it, I really like it. Especially at night. During the day it's kind of "whatever" but at night it pops...it might be my favorite night color.
Anyway, I would echo what others have said, test drive a couple and make a choice. The first one I drove I was kind of on the fence about...which I should have known means "don't get it". When I drove mine, I knew immediately this was the one.

don't just jump on the first car you "think" is ok...take your time, look around, if there's anything that really bothers you just walk away. if you have no specific preference to color then don't bother stressing over it...you'll end up liking whatever you get!
good luck w/ the test drive, it can be a long journey to find the right S, but in the end i believe you will finish happy!

That was FUN.
Clearly if you're not above 6k rpm's, you're doing it wrong.
Felt almost as though I was driving a turbocharged car with the way the power's delivered, though not as peaky, if you know what I mean. The vtech is a real kick in the pants!
Best handling car I've ever driven. By far. I mean I was stunned.
Bit of a tight fit... I'm not as um, svelt as I, um used to be, but the seat wasn't bad. Car was probably a 90 out of 100. A little panel misalignment, (owner advertised it had been in a fender bender when it was new), a pinhole in the top above the passenger's side door, and a good sized paint chip out of the hood. Tires looked practically new, has a shock mount crossmember, lip spoiler, it's VERY local, and it's yellow. Reasonably priced too for an '06.
