My dealer has two used (3K miles each) silver/black stooks, asking $38,900 per. Ridiculous, don't you think? I'm monitoring to see how long they stay before selling at this or a lower price.

I've been looking around here locally (South Florida area) and have had no luck in finding anything near MSRP. Hollywood Honda wanted 40k for their 2 stooks. Another local dealer (name slips my mind, have to find his card) says he can get one with all forced options for 36.5k and the few that I have visited in the palm beach area are asking for 36-40 no options. They didn't think it very funny when I asked them for a recount either .

I paid MSRP 4 months ago. If you are being asked to pay more than MSRP, then go some where else. Heck, call other cities. Don't pay over MSRP for the S2K. That's ridiculous - I love my car, but geez, it's just a CAR.

Honda of Scottsdale sold a black and a yellow on 11/31, both for $45,000. The frenzy is not over in metro Phx.

I just bought my Spa Yellow last week from Metro Honda in Pomona for $35,700 without any options.

Norm Reeves sell them at MSRP with forced options for the same price.

I would have bought mine from them, except they didn't have any yellow coming in.

I just drove a spa yellow, forced options of Ti shifter, Aero screen, maybe some other things? But they were only asking MSRP plus the options . . . dunno if it will last long, he told me nobody was on the list, and I started to consider a trade . . .
maybe not. I would prolly lose too much cash on the deal.

I just picked up my Silver 01' one from Val Strough Honda (seaside) for $34.5K over the weekend.

The going rate in the Bay Area is as follows:

Anderson - $39K
Stevens Creek - $37K
Los Gatos - $38K
Captiol - $38K (with options)

YMMV

cmnsnse,

Aero screen is not an option on 2001 models. It is now standard equipment. FWIW.

Well I guess $35000 isn't as bad as I thought. I still think if I sell mine I may still be able to do better with cash in hand and Christmas coming. SkipX where did you buy yours?
