going to the track, take off hardtop?
so i will be going to the track for the very first time, and i'm wondering should i leave my hardtop on? or take it off. i will be wearing a helment, so the wind blowing in my hair factor wont be there. does the hardtop provide some type of aerodynamics or should i take if off for the weight reduction. also, anything else i should know before going to the track? thanks in advance.
I personally prefer having the top up and windows down to hear the tires, but not get overly distracted by noise. Occasionally I have the radio on too though...

And I notice I drive better with the top up because there's less noise and distraction. And I'm 10mph faster in the straights.
Personally, I'd leave it on.

Some track organizations will not allow an S2000 to run without either a hardtop or a roll bar; the stock "roll hoops" won't cut it for some promoters.

this definitely happened on at least one review, but it was for a convertible top up/top down. They attributed it to a better weight distribution - something I highly doubt.
