so i will be going to the track for the very first time, and i'm wondering should i leave my hardtop on? or take it off. i will be wearing a helment, so the wind blowing in my hair factor wont be there. does the hardtop provide some type of aerodynamics or should i take if off for the weight reduction. also, anything else i should know before going to the track? thanks in advance.
If it's your first time, the drag from not having a hard top is the least of your problems. Do whatever you're comfortable with. There's no one-size-fits-all answer if you can't tell from the responses above.
Exactly this. Safety and fun are your top priorities right now. Speed will come with time.

I'd say bring it and try both (if they let you).
