Ok.
Today i did some research on winshield tape. After looking at the pictures of this free mod (free mods are always the best!!!) and weighing the possibilities i decided to take the plung and pull off the tape.

There was not scratch, no scuff, nothing!

I think it looks GREAT. My car is spa yellow and i cant wait to take it home and wax it. Thats right, take it home. I was actually so excited about doing this that i went out in the parking lot of my work and did it.

IT LOOKS GREAT, and best of all NO SCRATCHES!!!!
I highly recomned this mod if you want to take the risk!

Did it about a year ago. Finally got the glue residue off yesterday with some elbow grease, a rag and acetone.

Looks good.

sounds like you did a good job. there was a post in here couple weeks ago, about how many pulled their tape out flawlessly, and the percentage wasn't as high as I had thought.

Just did mine! WOW what a difference!

Got a little greedy at the end though and pulled the tape too fast. Took a couple of hours to scrub that crap off!

I'm happy with the look of my Spa yellow with the tape on. Plus, if I ever get a hard top, it will be black. My feeling is that would be an awesome look.
