Folks,

The BS from Honda reached the limit today when I was informed that the play in the steering wheel was within factory specs. If you've been folowing my posts about all the problems I've had with Honda customer service as well as the lying DSM you know my story well. If not search under my username. especially if you're considering buying a S2000. The bottom line is that I really liked the car but the customer service and BS I've had to tolerate forced my hand. I will never ever buy another Honda again and I intend to tell every one thinking about buying one my experience. Well...onto the lighter side of things...want to know what I traded it in for?.. A picked up a 2002 M Roadster. BMW gave me a 3.9% interest rate. MSRP and 26k on my trade in. I'm going to really miss all of you and will be stopping in occasionally to say hello. Best of luck to all and I'm really sorry I had to trade the car in. I took a beating on it but at least my blood pressure will go down.

Good bye

George,
I am really sorry to hear about your bad experience with your S2000. I'm just asking, but did you try another Honda dealer in your area? I can't understand that if your steering wheel has more play than the other S2000, they should be able to fix it without question. Please try to take it easy on Honda. I've owned two Hondas and two Acuras and have nothing but excellent things to say about the cars. The dealerships, however, may not be up to Honda standards. We're sorry to see you go. Although, an M Roadster is a nice way to go. I hope you have nothing but good luck with your M.

Good job standing up for what you think is right. I don't think I will be trading in my S2000 yet but if they have to pull the tranny again it's gone.

I just hope that I can find a M3 with SMG at msrp without a 12 month waiting list.

Best of luck with your M! One word of warning, never own a BMW without warranty. My experience with my '95 M3 sounds similar to your experience with the S2k. Dealer refusal to do warranty repair to spec on steering play and shifter bushing play, myriad of major problems including cracked rear shock mounts, premature timing chain tensioner failure, VANOS failure, fuel pump failure, and finally a blown ring at 72k miles . They are a blast to drive though.

Best of luck to you, ad sorry to hear of your awful experience. It is truly sad how a couple of jackasses can ruin a good brand's reputation
I hope you find a good online community for your new BMW
