Unless I missed something along the way - he had three issues, (1) hood misalignment after body damage which wasn't getting resolved after several attempts, (2) an asshole DM who lied, and (3) the recent steering issue .. which may not have been an issue but an impression.

Hey Guys,
I'm still floating around.
I got 26k for the car with 20500 miles on it. Believe it or not I'm only paying 150.00 a month more for the M than I was paying for the S2000.
BTW, I know I lost money on the trade in, but I was furious with Honda and didn't give a damn..
In regard to the post above that the only complaints I had were with the bumper, DSM and steering; The problems went way beyond that. It was the total lack of consideration by Honda in addressing my complaints on all levels including the DSM and customer service. The funny thing is that the service dept agreed there were problems but the DSM told them the problems were within factory specs. The service manager was even shocked. I should post the e-mail exchange I had with the service manager. He essentially told me his hands were tied. What really irked me, was the constant denial of the problems by Honda corporate and their gross refusal to even look into it. Telling me these problems were within factory specs and then refusing me the data to support their conclusion was ludicrous and only fueled my anger. In addition, I'm not going to even get into the horrible attitude problem of the customer service rep I spoke to on the phone on multiple occasions. ( she was the only one they would let me speak to even after I requested another on multiple occasions. They also refused to put me through to a superior rep)
Again, I have to say, I really enjoyed the car. It is a tremendous car, but Honda has to realize we're not Civic owners but enthusiasts. Without customer service the car loses value. Honda needs to realize that attention to detail matters and customer service is tremendously important. You know, if it wasn't for the BS I would have kept the car. In conclusion, I really hope nobody else has problems with Honda like I had. Maybe Honda will see this and do something with their service that benefits you all.
Good luck to every body and I'll be more than happy to show any of you folks around Vegas if your in town. Drop me an email xeron@lvcm.com
I'll give you all a comparison of the M once I break it in.
Take care,
George
(In addition, if Honda does reads this.. I'm an eye surgeon and I will never buy another Honda product again. In addition, my problems with Honda were a very hot topic in the surgeons lounge. I don't think many doctors in Las Vegas will be considering purchasing an S2000 in the future)

Sorry about your bad experience. I'm beginning to think that the quality of the dealership is more important than the quality of the car.
My S2000 came back from its engine replacement with "give" in the steering wheel. It turned out to be nothing more than torquing two bolts correctly on the steering column (I think.)
By the way, the nearest BMW dealer to Sheridan, Wyoming is in Denver. Our eye surgeon in Sheridan just bought one in Germany that he has to take 400 miles for service. Not my cup of tea.
