Default Good deal?

Hey guys,

I'm new to these forums but i'm in the process of purchasing an 01 S2000 and I wanted to get your opinions on it. This AP1 has 64,000 miles on it, one owner (older guy), no accidents, car was shipped from Florida, it's 99.9% stock (the only modifications done were black glossy emblems and glossy stock rims), the soft top has no tears or wear at all, the engine looks to be in pristine condition and the car has no rust at all as it was very well maintained. I test drove the car today and its very smooth. The asking price is $15,900, what do you guys think?

Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. You might talk him down a little lower, but at 64k miles, seems like a solid deal if car is straight and clean, and especially a one owner.

Low miles (won't find lower for that year) and old person owned? So it's probably showroom condition and never really been beat on and 100% stock. It does seem like a pretty good deal.

I would personally avoid the 00-01 just for a few things like the non glass window in the soft top and I think the carpet around the armrest/shift area looks tacky and cheap.

I'd be like "I got $14,000 cash in hand." And work up from there but not go over 15.

I think it's fairly priced.

It's hard to find an unmolested car nowadays. One elderly owner??? I'd take it in a heart beat if you've been looking for a while.

Yeah as long as it has been well maintained the price seems reasonable.

Elderly owner? Well, maybe now. Have to remember that the car is ~18 years old. I'm 60 and I drove pretty aggressively when I was 42.
