too much...

Got my MY00 with 45,000 miles, CERTIFIED, for $18,500. That one is a year newer, but has more miles, and there were no significant changes from MY00-MY01.

My dealer also threw in a NEW hardtop, clutch, and rear brake assembly....for FREE! Over $3000 in work.

Offer $18k, certified.....that would be a deal.

you should check the cars for sale section in this forum... that'd be a good place to start, eh?

just an update incase any one really cares. I've decided not to get the s from Gary Smith Honda. I found a GPW 2001 s with 16k miles for 23.5k otd. Hopefully ill be in it by the end of the week. A question for some of you older users, i'm only 19, i'm a AIC in the airforce, i make about 1200 a month in pocket, i realise that this car payment/insurance is going take a large portion of my check. I know its not the smartest financial move, but i'm just looking at in a year or so ill be putting on SrA so thats that much more cash. I am also looking at the fact that i will deploy a couple times with in my career and will be making bank on those deployments and will be able to pay the car off quicker. Just looking for some input on your experiences and so forth. All though i'm pretty much set on buying this car, its going break me for a good year but after that i should be able to live a little more comfortable, all this considering i don't get another job on the side, anyways sorry for the long post just have a lot on my mind

just an FYI, I picked up my 01 GPW S2K at a dealership for $21k w/ 17k miles on it.....so try and work them for a little bit better of a deal. And before you do make sure you check with insurance companies, one company wanted to charge me $5500 a year. Luckly i got it down to $3000 for three cars so i can afford that. As far as the pay check goes, I'm making a little bit more than that and basically all my money goes toward the cars and other bills (and the little i have left still goes toward the car via mods ) oh well I'm young. single, and I love cars so it is so worth it. God luck on the car.

thanks for the input man, i'm gonna find out how much insurance is gonna be roughly tomorrow. i'm willing to pay around 650 a month to drive this car, i fell in love as soon as i got in it, not as quick as my civic, but man you cant even compare the to, i wish i could have took the car into some corners but it felt like it might handle better then my civic too ( i have tein flex's and other various mods done to it )anyways keep the input coming i'm going for broke but man do i love these cars
