Default Is this a good price on a 07 White? Plus intro

Hello all, I just talked to my local dealer and after beating around the bush at first they said that they would be able to match the "True Market Value" on Edmunds. $30323

Is this a great price or is this what all S2000s are going for now? Is the $2000 rebate and this price going to go away after Sept 4 as Edmunds shows?

I hope to be a S2000 owner soon so here is a little background that should make some of you laugh.

Since 2004 I have been living in mustang hell. I bought a new 04 GT since it was cheap and had tons of rebates at the time. I got the car for under $20 and it had a sticker of $27. I was just out of college and I wanted a sports car and it was great for the first few months while the honeymoon phase was still there. I guess what they say is true though, you get what you pay for. This thing shifts horrible and the ride isn't that great. I not call it "the misery machine". I am still looking for that car that is fun to drive and I believe the S2000 is it!

Funny how most people that I talk to still think the S2000 is a chick car and that it is just a little convertible. Seems most have no clue of the technology behind this car and how fun it is to drive! One look at the reviews from consumers and the industry and I have to wonder, is this thing the best kept secret out there? lol

I just recently got my 07 red for 28.5k with practically no negotiation at all, so 30.3k definitely isnt a good price. In the introductions forum someone even got as low as 28k.

Where do you live and did the dealer have a few on the lot? I live in the FL Panhandle and the dealer that I talked to showed one online in the same color I wanted, but when I went there they had just sold it. They said they should be able to get one.

Also is that 28.5 out the door?

I pass by a dealer here in Jax a couple times a week...they have 3-4 on the lot sitting. The car isn't moving well off dealer's lots. You might even get a better deal once the '08 starts showing up in a month or so.

Curious...did you try the "get a quote" from Edmunds?

Wing and sidestrakes leave holes. Wing can be easily swapped with another owner for sale though.

Honda of the Avenues is the dealer in Jax where I see new s2ks just sitting. I'll see if they have a white on the lot. Could stop at Proctor Honda in Tallahassee on the way over to check their inventory too.

Also send an PM to zdave87...he's a CO in the Florida forum. He picked up an 07 GPW for a good price recently...he might be able to tell you where and how much.

I saw 3 '07' S2000's in Knoxville today. A black/black showed $29,900 on the window. They also had a white and a silver.

I also just got my 07 for 28.5 (Dallas, TX) but no side strakes or wing. I would think you could get that one down to 29.

Got my 07 Gran Prix White for 29,800 before tax and licenses. That was the best price I could get it for in northern california :/
