are you all retarded?

who cares what a dealer is asking for it?

the question is, what's it worth?

you guys go ahead and pay 29,995 for a new '04 and i'll buy myself an '05 for 500 bucks more, ok?

btw, i got my car from ganley (hardtopguy) and imported it into canada.

all it took was one PM - no fuss, no muss.

Vietboyjl,
Just call any local dearler internet sale department and ask for $29,995. I am sure one of them will sell it to you. I bought mine at Santa Ana Honda in 4/04 for 30.5K.

Yea I'm getting it from ebay. Well, shipping is going to be $500. They told me that invoice would be 29,995.
Just a word of advice, I'd try locally first. If you can find it for $30,500 new locally (including destination), then it'd be the same price.

I bought my S2000 used off of eBay (for $1000 under invoice + mods), and I ended up getting it shipped via an enclosed trailer by a private party (instead of going through a commercial shipper). My car was the only one in the trailer, and it was delivered directly to me.. the day after it was picked up.

I looked up the shipping from a commercial carrier and it was about $500 like you're saying. The $500 shipping from a commercial company will take about 3 weeks to get it to you because most shippers optimize their routes and have a warehouse where they store all cars waiting to be delivered. In addition, its going to be on an open trailer where the car could potentially be on the bottom of a 2 level trailer, meaning if someone's beater car off of eBay is above you and leaking oil ... your car is now ruined. The local dealer will also help you out by setting you up with registration/tags, including tax in the price etc... I ended up needing to wait on line at the DMV for 2 hours to get all of that accomplished. But it was worth it to me since I got the car a little cheaper than from the local dealer, and it had some "freebie" mods.

Just my 2 cents ... Unless you're saving a bundle by going through eBay, I'd try the local dealerships first.

30.5 is a good deal if you can find a "new" one for 26 then buy them all and the re-sell them - oh maybe you got such a good deal cause you got the special pink Barbie edition (in your avatar)

Jeff's price is 30,995.00

Not enough information.....could be a decent deal, could be a horrible one.

If you're paying cash then this is a decent deal, not great, not bad.

If you're financing or leasing well then we don't have enough information to say if it's a good deal. With leases and financing you need to know how much you are actually paying out over the term of the lease/loan. Purchase price isn't the most important thing with these, the total deal you are getting is what matters.

Paid 30.5k for my '04 GPW at a local dealer. 14 miles on odo. I'd look locally so you know exactly what you're getting. I've found that with my local dealers, they do treat you better if you bought the car from them, especially if you do run into some initial problems.

I paid $5 over invoice. So yeah..if you're getting it for invoice, it's a good deal, but with the impending '05 coming soon, I think you can go a little under..maybe $200-$500 under invoice.
