Big scam. I am still amazed at how often people can still fall for that because they hope they are getting such a great deal.
It's unfortunate.

Who the heck would fall for that? They could sell it to any dealer for 10k on the spot, so why would they go through the hassle to sell privately?

EDIT: I looked up what Nigerian scam was. I always knew what they were - I just didn't know all of them were called this regardless of what circumstance you're given or what country it comes from.

yes this is a common scam to the OP, just stop contacting them you're NOT going to get that car.

It would be easy to prove scam if you could get him to agree to sell the same car to 2 people. Contact him to say you're sending the money, then later in the day contact him again as a second party. If he'll agree to sell the same car twice, something is really up.
