Sorry to see ya go, but congrats on the baby! I must say, the RX-8 is probably about the best bet if you want to stay in the sports car field but need back seats. Ah well, no more tailing Vettes in the mountains of NC otw to the Dragon for us (darn I wont have another chance to catch the hat), Im sure well be in touch!

Sorry to see you got rid of your S. You could have fabricated a perfect car seat w/ the arm rest! I'll try to get one rolling before summer is over so that no one else has to go through letting ther S go.

Of course I'm just kidding, but seriously now, congradulations on becoming a father! Enjoy every minute of it, and when the time comes, pick up another S

I'm about to get an S2000 and I have a 5 and 2 year old. Can they ride in the passenger seat with car seats? Or is it impossible? My previous 2 seater had an off switch for the airbag so they could ride with me, one at a time of course.

Congratulations!

My last 124 Spider died for good in 1989 when my wife was pregnant with child #3. My heart said to get a Miata (just out), but instead I went the "prudent" route and got a Celica GT convertible (seats only four, but that's better than two). Fifteen years later, as the Celica declined in health, I decided to pass it on to child #1, who's having a great time with mods, and get an S2k.

I love the S2k, and I'm glad to be back driving a roadster, but all those years of "compromise" were well worth it to be a daddy.

Besides, an RX-8 is a great car!

The only thing better than having a S2K is having a child. Good luck and kiss good-bye to full nights rest for a few years.

By the way, a kid costs alot more than an S2K, so get ready.

u should have gotten different car like full sedan or SUV
but RX-8 is cool!!!! have fun with ur new car

Doesn't the little woman have a car with at least 4 seats ? I have a two boys 5 & 3, and the wife drives the 4 seaters , my cars are two seaters only. Having kids shouldn't mean you give up what you love. If you have only two cars how often do you need the extra seats ? You can de-activate the pass. airbag in the Honda ,throw a car seat and Jr is good to go. If you rarely need the extra seats just rent something for the day or week whenever you need more space.

My buddy just bought a 8 he said it has the same weight limits as the Honda 400lbs so make you both don't chunk up .
