Default Got bumped... Front Bumper R&R

Holy cow...

A little more than I was expecting from what I'd read in some other posts...

One shop quoted me $1000, which includes a new bumper.

The other shop said to refinish and quoted me $600.

Both said they would warranty the paint for the life of the car. They also both put the bumper labor @ almost 2 hours, so I'm tempted to just take the bumper in by itself / put it back on myself to save some money...

Anyone selling a Spa Bumper???

That seems a little high to me. My body shop quoted me ~$200 to paint a front bumper. Including removal/reinstall. (They even through in shaving the bumper plugs and H emblem.) A new bumper, unpainted, is about $350-$400 shipped.

hold up!

Keep in mind that spa is a 3stage paint, so they are charging 30% more money for refinish time and materials. Hence the price difference from any other color.

That could be part of it too. I don't really know.

I had them paint my stock bumper. They had to sand and prep the whole bumper. It was not raw/unfinished when they started. I honestly have no idea which costs more. Starting fresh, or starting half/way done, but having to redo it all.

The same shop has done two silverstones and one berlina. AFAIK they have not done any Spa so I don't know if they would charge more for that.

craziness I tell ya....the body shop I go to would paint my entire 6 piece gp kit for only $500 or $600 most, which includes sanding, priming, painting, remove/reinstall.....and on top of that they warranty the paint for life as well.......so $1000 for the bumper itself and paint is just nut......and I have rio so there thats compareable to your spa......

I just got a new back bumper painted and installed in suzuka blue from a body shop in phoenix and it was a little over $900. I thought it was a little high but then again I didn't have to pay for it, the other person's insurance had to. I'm happy they did a good job.
