I work at a body shop some. That price seems rediculous to me. I think Jerry's bumpers makes an identical replica oem bumper for $234 retail. It is oem quality as well. Either way, that is insanely high. I would say 600-800 for a new bumper and paint.

 

I called the honda dealership for a brand new my04 unapinted bumper and it was only around $220 so paint/prep cannot be $7-800....

 

Thanks guys... Going to continue looking around... Any ideas as far as whether replacing the bumper is necessary?

1000-600$ is just WAY to high for just painting the bumper
you can as you said just bring them the bumper to paint and you install it yourself....if so then they should charge you around 250-300$ for paint (im being generous here)

 

$1000 seems super steep, even if it were high quality paint.

also about paint warranty, make sure u get details on it, alot of times htey jew u on that

How bad is Maaco if I just give them a primered bumper to spray? Am I a terrible person for even asking?

 

Paid $125.00,just to have a pair of eyelids painted NFR,last spring.!!! (about $100.00 U.S.) and they don't even match.!!!
