That's right, it is, and thank God it is. If it were a VW, can you imagine the probs you'd have with it? Don't get me wrong, VW makes fine cars, but not at 9K rpm they don't! I'd consider it a compliment.

I just had my first "negative" comment the other day as well...

I was washing my car out in front of my girlfriend's house when a small group of people casually walked by on their neighborhood stroll. I wasn't looking at them, but I overheard one of them say "you should get one of those." Then I looked up just as this lady was saying "Why would I get a Honda when I could get a Mercedes?" She said it right in front of me. I just grinned and kept scrubbing. I hope she enjoys dreaming about her Benz while I'm out driving my dream car...

 

Or maybe he think you were driving a custom "one-off" chop top Honda civic?

 

Yes, you must "consider the source" in such situations. Unfortunate that someone would express their jealousy in such a rude fashion. I think that's where the comment was coming from, though- just jealousy. It's always fun to just smile at those types & maybe feel a little sorry that their day and/or lives are such that they can't find happines in a beautiful morning.
